FCC is seeking experienced, ambitious and dedicated Production Control Manager on a First. This is a salary exempt position.

Role

Oversee the Purchasing and Production Control department, coordinating activities involved with procuring raw goods and parts. Comply with all company safety, quality and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Create annual business plan outlining your department’s objectives. (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery)
  • Create an annual manpower plan.
  • Create annual investment plans for department improvements (ergonomics, cost reductions)
  • Create annual budget plan for department expenses.
  • Have requisitions created for department purchases to go through the approval process.
  • Confirm controlled documents outline proper methods for all department procedures.
  • Confirm weekly overtime plans.
  • Oversee that all associates are following FCC’s safety requirements at all times.
  • Oversee corrective actions for all safety concerns within your department (SCARs). All corrective actions are to be completed on time and address the actual root cause of the issue.
  • Oversee the implementation and results of environmental waste reduction improvements.
  • Promote and oversee conformance to the company’s ISO 14001 procedures (recycling, reducing waste)
  • Oversee the implementation and results of turn over reductions.
  • Oversee associate’s time and attendance records are complete and accurate.
  • Promote and oversee conformance to the company’s IATF 16949 procedures (work standards, check sheets, regulations, quality manual)
  • Assist the AMG in overseeing training associates. Trainee’s performance is understood by the trainee and department management (Initial Evaluation, Annual Evaluations, Performance Reviews).
  • Assist the AMG in overseeing your department’s cleanliness and organization. Department needs to understand and implement improvements using the 5C principle (Clean, clear, create, commit, continue).
  • Knowledge of company policies and practices dealing with associate relations (free of discrimination, harassment, violence, drugs, and alcohol).
  • Attend meetings as needed to assist with department continuous improvements and corrective actions.
  • Purchase raw material and component parts; maintaining inventory levels/safety stock levels.
  • Maintain procurement records, such as items purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
  • Process daily productions schedules for various departments.
  • Create PO’s and ensure posting to supply web; maintaining a 4 week supply of releases.
  • Assess supplier delivery points to suppliers.
  • Work with suppliers to continually improve delivery performance.
  • Supply forecast to suppliers on a weekly basis.
  • Assist suppliers with supply web.
  • Oversee import/export activities.
  • Conduct the monthly inventory audit and assist with organizing the semi-annual audit.
  • Work with customers as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain the monthly department expense budget, while applying measures to continually decrease expenses.
  • Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor, associates and suppliers
  • Additional projects assigned by management

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Degree in Business Management/related field or equivalent work experience.
