FCC Indiana located in Portland, IN currently has openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts in our Machine Shop.
The CNC Machinist supports Production through the machining and maintenance of components.
Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains milling, turning, and grinding machines.
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Takes precise measurements for milling, turning, and grinding.
- Selects the appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
- Identifies the need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Utilizes CAD/CAM software
- Performs machine and tooling setup to complete tasks
Requirements:
- Excellent mechanical skills
- Adept understanding of blueprints
- Ability to work in both individual and team settings
- Knowledge and practical use of the metric system
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
Schedule:
- 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- Monday-Friday
- Overtime as required
