As part of a global production network under the Japanese parent company of F.C.C. Co. Ltd., we have high expectations and quiet confidence found in our sister locations around the globe. Here in Laurinburg, North Carolina, 450 associates approach their work at two North Carolina manufacturing locations with commitment and confidence every day.
The original FCC (North Carolina), LLC plant has 235,000 square feet. We have numerous manufacturing processes which include the manufacture of segmented friction disk, assembly of ATV differentials, and stamping of clutch components.
FCC (North Carolina), LLC’s newest location is a 191,000 square foot, state of the art friction material manufacturing plant. The plant manufactures friction material that is used at the original Laurinburg plant and other FCC locations around the world.
FCC (North Carolina), LLC in-house manufacturing capabilities include press blanking, press stamping, electron beam welding, milling, machining, double disk grinding, carbonitriding, tempering, segment friction disk bonding, clutch plate sanding and assembly, and friction material manufacturing. All of FCC’s associates are extensively trained in the operation and function of process equipment and gauges. Some manufacturing cells also include robotics to improve efficiency, quality and operator safety.
