The production lathe operator will make cuts on part following both quality and safety standards.

Specific Job Functions

Start Up Checks

1. Perform start up checks of machine to ensure it is running properly

Quality, Gaging, and Offsets

1. Associate will follow quality policy set out by company
2. Use gages (micrometers, calipers, etc.) effectively
3. Make offsets on machine to ensure part quality
4. Complete Quality check sheets

PLEX (ERP System) and troubleshooting

1. Associate will follow production schedule in Plex
2. Minor troubleshooting of machine and cleaning of work area needed

Other Duties

1. Changing inserts
2. Emptying scrap trailer
3. Ability to lift 40 lbs.
4. Loading and unloading of parts
5. Use of pallet jack when needed

Requirements

Education 

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

1 to 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
