FCC Indiana, located in Portland, IN, currently has openings on 2nd shift in our Assembly Rooms. Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, including work standards and check sheets, to produce various product components
  • Inspect and verify the accuracy of the product for quality conformance using measuring and testing machines/equipment or by visual examination
  • Record production data in the computer system or on paper.
  • Maintain production progress concerning the production schedule.
  • Comply with departmental continuous improvement activities (product quality, production efficiencies, scrap, downtime)
  • Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s TS 16949 procedures (work standards, regulations, quality manual)
  • Promote and ensure conformance to the company’s ISO 14001 procedures (recycling, reducing waste)
  • Promote and ensure a safe, clean, harassment-free, working environment. Comply with department 5C activities
  • Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor, and associates
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Understand basic math

When you are finished, please attach your resume, then click on Submit to complete the application process.  Job Description The Quality Engineer supports Quality improvement of products through various related projects and investigations. Responsibilities
  • Engages in investigations of quality defects, using problem-solving tools
  • Facilitate improvement in component quality
  • Monitor and complete analysis to measure trends in quality
  • Reporting, data entry, and analysis as needed
  • Corrective action, follow up and review
  • Familiar with 8D's, SP, etc.
  • Supervise other Quality Engineers
Skills
  • Adept understanding of gauging and blueprints (GD&T)
  • PPAP and SPC experience
  • PFMEA/Control Plan basic knowledge
  • Data analysis - Minitab experience or similar
  • Ability to continue to grow and develop skills
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Ability to interpret and present data in meetings
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Associate or Bachelors degree in technical engineering or related field
  • Supervisory experience
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or production-specific related field required
  • 4+ years in a manufacturing environment required
  • Previous experience in engineering or quality role preferred
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Suite and ERP software is preferred
  • Communication, teamwork, cooperation
Schedule:
  • 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Monday-Friday
  • Overtime as required
