FCC Indiana located in Portland, IN currently has openings for Die Technicians on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
What you will do:
- Repair and maintain extrusion, blanking, and stamping dies to ensure they are ready for production.
- Follow the schedule of preventative maintenance on all dies
- Efficiently use hand tools to repair dies correctly
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Accurate recording of data on dies
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of the metric system
- Ability to read blueprints and computer literacy.
- Strong math skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Comfortable working in both an individual and team setting
- General machining knowledge is preferred
- 2nd Shift (2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.)
- 3rd Shift (10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)
- Monday-Friday
- Overtime as required

Job Description
The Quality Engineer supports Quality improvement of products through various related projects and investigations.
Responsibilities
- Engages in investigations of quality defects, using problem-solving tools
- Facilitate improvement in component quality
- Monitor and complete analysis to measure trends in quality
- Reporting, data entry, and analysis as needed
- Corrective action, follow up and review
- Familiar with 8D's, SP, etc.
- Supervise other Quality Engineers
- Adept understanding of gauging and blueprints (GD&T)
- PPAP and SPC experience
- PFMEA/Control Plan basic knowledge
- Data analysis - Minitab experience or similar
- Ability to continue to grow and develop skills
- MS Office proficiency
- Ability to interpret and present data in meetings
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Associate or Bachelors degree in technical engineering or related field
- Supervisory experience
- Must be 18 years of age
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or production-specific related field required
- 4+ years in a manufacturing environment required
- Previous experience in engineering or quality role preferred
- Prior experience with Microsoft Suite and ERP software is preferred
- Communication, teamwork, cooperation
- 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
